1. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water per day (i.e. weight is 200 lbs–goal is 100 oz of water per day). Water must be filtered, steam distilled, reverse osmosis, etc.. Avoid unfiltered tap water.
  2. Vigorous exercise for 30 mins, 4 times per week.  Vigorous is defined as increasing heart rate & respiration.  Walking counts.
  3. Consume 1/2 fresh squeezed lemon in 8 oz of water first thing each morning and again in the evening prior to bed.
  4. Eliminate the “white trash”- white sugar, white flour, also high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated/partially hydrogenated fats, pastries, breads, pasta, potato chips etc.  As an alternative to sugar use stevia and moderate amounts of agave nectar.
  5. Eliminate wine, beer, alcohol, coffee, caffeine drinks such as dark sodas and high sugar fruit juices.
  6. Eat two dark green leafy salads per day (i.e. romaine lettuce with mixed spring greens, spinach, baby kale, etc.  Avoid iceberg/head lettuce because it is 98% unfiltered water which is toxic.  Read the labels on your dressings as they may be full of sugar.  Best to use extra virgin olive oil and lemon juice on salads.
  7. Eat 5 to 7 vegetables and fruit daily.  Choose low glycemic, organic, and locally grown fruits and vegetables when possible.
  8. Avoid or reduce foods that you suspect you may be sensitive to such as wheat flour (gluten), dairy, corn, soy & sugar.
  9. Eliminate red meat unless it is organic, grass-fed beef, bison or buffalo.  Consume organic, free-range chicken and only wild sources of fish.

WARNING:  You may feel sluggish, lethargic, nauseous, constipated or develop headaches during a cleanse.  It is not uncommon to feel worse initially when you begin a cleanse, please follow directions carefully and consult a health care practitioner if you experience prolonged symptoms.  The benefits of a cleanse can be compounded when you work together with a licensed practitioner familiar with the detox process.

1.  Skin detoxification:

  • Skin brushing- perform daily during the cleanse and twice per week afterwards
  • Epsom Salts Bath- 1 to 2 cups of Epsom Salts, soak for 30 mins, 3 times per week.

2.  To reduce symptoms associated with caffeine withdrawal use a maximum of 2 Arbonne Fizzy tabs per day.  Mix with 1 to 2 Emergen C packs to boost your immune system during this cleanse.
