Stomach Sleeping fix
When people sleep on their stomach, they’ll have a preferred side of where they put their head; the right side or left side, and they’ll have their arms up as well. This will shorten muscles on one side of the neck and lengthen the muscles on the other side of the neck, causing an imbalance. What I want to do is show you how to modify sleeping on your stomach to be better for your body.
The first thing you should do is bring the side arm away from the head. Bring the arm down then you will want to move that pillow down under the chest a little bit, and then you’ll bend the knee like this. Under that knee, we’re going to put that second pillow where we’re supporting the torso and leg.
The feedback I get a lot of time is, “while I’m sleeping, how am I supposed to make this change?” But if this is part of the problem, if this is causing pain, discomfort, tightness, and tension in your neck and shoulders, this is the position I recommend that you do. Thanks for joining us.
